Long Cottage

This summer home for Bill and Amy Long and their family was intended to look like a cottage.
Situated on the south shore of Lake Mitchell, this 3,200 sf home appears to be smaller. Through the use of hip roofs, boxed out windows and wide siding and trim, the scale of this house was brought down to feel more like a cottage.
Constructed by Windsong Homes, the Long Cottage won the People's Choice Award in the 2005 Cadillac Parade of Homes.
Maclean Residence
- Cadillac, MI
Built to take in the view of Berry Lake, near Cadillac, this home features large windows and a walk-out basement.
The design was intended to have a more traditional look as is displayed by the large front porch, large window, lap siding, and wide trim.
Dunbar Residence
- Cadillac, MI
Designed for Dave and Paula Dunbar, this 3,200 sf residence also has a 4,100 sf basement, a six stall garage and a 1,200 sf bonus room.
The wood-framed home has cement board siding and a steel shingle roof. This home was completed in August of 2005.
Rodgers Residence
- Cadillac, MI
This ultimate northern Michigan retreat is the dream of Ian Rogers. Constructed from a pre-engineered steel building, this structure has a two story home at one end (approximately 3,300 sf of living space) with a large garage/ shop/ storage area at the rear.
Designed to be reminiscent of a Frank Lloyd Wright prairie style house, this home has a shallow pitched roof and prominent horizontal lines.
A larger home on the property is planned for the future, after which the living space in this structure will serve as a guesthouse.
